Attempted murder charge as bikies raided

Attempted murder charge as bikies raided: "MEMBER of the Comanchero has been charged with the attempted murder of a senior member of a rival gang, and a tattoo parlour linked to the Bandidos has been raided as police respond to a spate of violence involving bikie gangs.

Police insisted there was no war between rival gangs as they carried out raids at a dozen homes and businesses in Sydney's CBD and western suburbs, targeting members of outlaw motorcycle clubs over shootings, firearm offences and tax fraud.

The crackdown follows a spate of shootings across Sydney, including that of Sam Ibrahim, who was struck in both legs outside his parents' home at Merrylands last week.

Three people were arrested yesterday. The gang squad acting Commander, Wayne Hayes, said while the arrests did not relate to the most recent incidents, it was evidence that bikies involved in illegal activities would be caught.

''The public should be concerned there are shootings - I am concerned there are shootings - but we do our job. We plod away and as you can see from this … persons are charged,'' he said.

Among the arrests was a 23-year-old Comanchero member, who has been charged with the attempted murder of Sabre Murad, 24, on the doorstep of his Doonside home in November last year."

Weekly provides more eyewitness accounts of the June 21 shooting and background as to what attracted biker gang members to The Echo. Reaching for his coffee as a tremble in his hand attenuates up his tattoo-sleeved forearm, the musician says of his tremor, 'It's nothing — a family thing.'

But it may have something to do with getting rained on by a barrage of bullets fired at close range on a busy commercial stretch of Echo Park. Today, the guitarist offers insight into two criminal biker groups that are clashing in Los Angeles, leading one biker to act out a violent video game–style fantasy that targeted innocent clubgoers."

Shane Bunting, a.k.a. Mad Child says he was turned back from the border after being held several hours and then questioned over his links to members of the Hells Angels biker gang.

Need to know - Macleans.ca: "Shane Bunting, a.k.a. Mad Child, of the Vancouver-based hip hop group Swollen Members, has been denied entry to the U.S. American officials haven’t confirmed their reasoning, but Bunting says he was turned back from the border after being held several hours and then questioned over his links to members of the Hells Angels biker gang. He has now been banned from the U.S., which will likely mean the Juno-winning group will have to cancel a North American tour planned for this spring. Bunting admits he was charged with assault when he was a minor, but has no other criminal record. However, in 2007, a SWAT team showed up at his Kelowna, B.C. home looking for the owner of a Dodge Ram pickup truck owned by a Hells Angels member that was parked in his driveway. In addition, three Hells Angels members appeared in his 2003 music video in full gang colours and Swollen Members performed at a show last September which was billed as a make-up session for warring gang members."

Gangsters Out Blog: Biff Hamel

Gangsters Out Blog: Biff Hamel: "Biff Hammel was murdered by the Rock Machine on April 17, 2000. He remained a close friend and associate of Mom Boucher who also profited from the perpetual betrayal.

Interesting to note that Boucher's friend and Hells Angel hit man admitting to murdering former Hells Angel Andre Desjardins for the Hells Angels. How on earth Andre fell out of favor with the group is hard to tell but it was reported he met with Mom Bouicher the day before he was murdered. With friends like that, who needs enemies. They also beat his grandmother to death. No L & R there."
